So, a few weeks ago I stumbled across a swatch of Windestine (Facebook, Blogspot) polish Crushed Rose (her BigCartel, her Etsy) and fell absolutely in love. I knew I had to try it and, upon visiting Freda's shop, I knew we were two of a kind! Anime chibi mascot? Gorgeous, shimmery polishes? Our styles just seemed so compatible and I was drooling over every. single. polish. I got in touch with her right away about possibly doing a review swap, and what do you know! She agreed!
I got so overexcited with the polishes that I took about 200 pictures. I managed to edit it down, but I still have like... 80. Haha. So, even though I'm (obviously) not going to post ALL the pictures, I decided to split up the blog posts - one for each polish. :3 I'll be reviewing Pele, Crushed Rose, and my personal favorite, When Hearts Collide. I'm starting with Pele - a GORGEOUS bright coral/red orange crelly with tiny glitters in it, inspired by the Hawai'ian goddess of volcanoes!

How gorgeous are these polishes? How excited are you guys for these reviews?!?!?!
I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE matching my manis to my outfits for special occasions. :) I think it would be much too difficult to do my nails on a daily basis, but I always try and make my nails match for nights out! ^_^

So, I'm really really bummed right now, because technology absolutely failed me and I lost not only my original photos of my manicure, but also this entire blog post! I had written it while up at Lake Tahoe for my boyfriend's birthday and snowboarding, on my iPad in the hotel room. Unfortunately, the hotel had absolutely AWFUL Wi-Fi, and I guess my post didn't even save. ;_; Anyway, I'll try and work with what I have, and please forgive me for the lack of pictures. ;_;

I love making my manis match the seasons or the holidays, and since I was late as heck with my All Hallow's mani I was determined to be timely with my Thanksgiving mani!!! I wanted to celebrate fall leaves and all the gorgeous harvest colors - deep golds and burgundy reds and copper and pumpkin spice orange. Although I didn't get all of those into my mani (I made up for the red by drinking two bottles of pinot noir on Thanksgiving dinner!) I definitely think I succeeded in getting the feel of the season!

So, after my failed Halloween costume mani, I finally got around to doing a Halloween/All Hallows' themed manicure. I knew I wanted to do some nail art, because I didn't get to with my costume, the question just became "what?"

So, today my funds from IndieGoGo were dispersed to me since my campaign ended last week. I didn't make my funding goal, so they took quite a large cut of my donations - I was donated $441, and yet I am receiving only $388. Since I didn't even make half of my funding goal, it took quite a lot of creativity to be able to make even two lines. I decided, for now, to stick to making only mini bottles, and shuffled my recipes around quite a bit to maximize return. In the end, the winners of my Donor survey were My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle - so the first lines you'll see come to life are the Studio Ghibli series!
I'll be keeping in touch with all of my wonderful donors to keep them updated on their orders, but remember - you can still preorder via the Paypal gift option!
